01
Consent scope
SolvingLens is a desktop application that helps users capture a selected on-screen region and request a contextual explanation, summary, or answer.
By proceeding with the product, the user consents to the capture, transmission, storage, and processing behaviors described on this page in connection with normal product operation.
02
Screen capture
SolvingLens captures only the region the user selects through the lens interaction. The product is intended for deliberate user-triggered capture within the active overlay flow.
The user is responsible for ensuring that the selected region does not contain confidential, regulated, or third-party material that they are not authorized to process.
03
Account access
SolvingLens may require email-based account access on a verified device in order to enable uploads, request routing, and model-backed responses.
By signing in, the user consents to device association, session management, approved-device auto sign-in on later use, and the use of their email address for authentication, security, and product access control.
04
Uploads and AI processing
Selected images may be uploaded to the linked backend and processed through supported AI providers in order to generate responses. The backend may also validate requests, apply rate limits, and enforce device or usage controls.
In the current beta release, SolvingLens routes the active model path through Qwen. Future versions may expand provider coverage. By using SolvingLens, the user consents to that routing and understands that generated outputs may be produced by third-party model providers selected through the product configuration.
05
Local storage and history
SolvingLens stores local preferences, prompt selections, authentication state, request-history references, and approved-device authentication material on the device in order to support ongoing use of the client.
The user understands that local history and settings may remain on the device until cleared or replaced by subsequent product activity. Device-authentication material is intended to support secure return on the same approved device.
06
User responsibility
The user is responsible for choosing appropriate content to capture, complying with workplace and institutional policies, and verifying any output before using it in academic, operational, legal, medical, or financial contexts.
SolvingLens should be used as an assistive tool. The user remains responsible for final decisions, actions, and disclosures.
07
Contact and updates
Questions about SolvingLens release materials, policy, or operation should be directed through the release channel associated with the client package and documentation bundle.
Continued use of the product after a consent update indicates acceptance of the revised consent terms distributed with the current release.
